Do positive self affirmations really have any positive effect? The short answer is ‘No’ – unless you have a few years to spare and a heavy-duty supply of perseverance. The problem is that self-affirmation is directed at your conscious mind and, sadly, the conscious mind has absolutely nothing to do with the way you behave, how you react to people and situations, how you see life in general or, more importantly, the way in which you view yourself. However, as we’ve said, if you throw enough muck at your conscious mind, sooner or later – in fact, definitely later – some of that mud will eventually stick and make some sort of reasonable impression on your subconscious mind. However, you’d have to stick with it incessantly and, even then, you’d be faced with an uphill battle because your subconscious mind simply won’t believe what you’re trying to tell it if its view of reality is different. Why? Your subconscious mind dictates your beliefs, behaviours and reactions and actually creates your own personal version of reality. Positive-affirmation is like trying to throw snowballs at hell’s fiery furnace!!

However, if you really do want to change your life, some area of your life, or change yourself, how you view yourself or some unpalatable behaviour or bad habit, it’s your subconscious mind that you will have to impress. It’s holding all the keys, has its hand on all the levers and its feet on all the pedals that either get your life moving in the fast lane or, more normally, grind to a complete and shuddering halt.

In order to impress your subconscious mind, you will have to become like a little child again – not childish but childlike. When you were a child you paid full attention to the reality of the moment, using all of your five senses – that is how you absorbed your current set of beliefs about the world and who you think you are. As an adult, you now pay almost no attention to reality today – your subconscious mind pretty much makes it up for you on the fly! – with all the usual results. You’ve got to get real, to relearn how to pay more attention to what’s actually happening around you, rather than pay attention to your subconscious baggage that’s dragging you down.

The normal subconscious mind is living in the past. The key to your future is here in the present. After all, the present moment is the only time and place where life is truly lived. As such, you have to re-learn how to pay attention to what’s really going on, not what your subconscious mind, peering out through its dirty lens of past events, thinks is going on. This re-learning process involves training yourself how to pay attention to what you see, feel, hear, smell and taste. This training must be done in a quiet place so that, when the going gets tough in the so-called real world, you’re primed and ready to perform in a way that will lead you onwards and upwards to the life that heart desires.

From early times people have been using positive thinking techniques to acquire all they desired, and this had continued over time. Results obtained from its Use were however varied. Some got their positive results easily and quickly, while some positive results came much later and after some bits of efforts.

However, the bottom line is that with consistency and belief Positive Thinking will manifest your desires. It is now accepted as a potent tool, endowed on all human beings by our Creator. The process of manifesting through positive thinking had been endorsed time and time again that it was capable of bringing about positive results in good time, with little efforts.

The reason why some people encountered some delays in their positive manifestations is because of their immediate past state of mind. If someone had experienced a prolong state of negative thinking it will delay his subconscious mind in adjusting to the new state of his mind. We are all witnesses to the negative informations and sights that have pervaded our various information channels – radio, television, newspapers etc. We’re daily informed of world economic meltdown, aids epidemic, earthquakes, suicide bombers, killings in Iraqi etc. In addition we have been exposed to a combination of childhood negative experiences which had somehow permanently formed our beliefs. All these have contributed in no small measure to the negativity which had overshadowed our mind.

This is why sometimes we find that it was not always easy as we would like it to be, and we find our mind drifting to negative thoughts even if we had decided that we will practice Positive Thinking always.

Negative thoughts, because of their nature of negativity, have a way of trying to recur in our mind so as to prevent positive thoughts from staying permanently in our mind. And this is why we must make it part of our life to always think positively and when we find our mind drifting to the wrong side we must put it right.

One of the endorsed solutions to our problems in this regard is by utilising affirmations. This process requires that you practice affirmations on a continous basis over a period of time, until the entire system of your body is saturated with the affirmations. This would create a new habit, belief and state of mind.

Another way to solve this problem is to stop yourself right then when you find yourself on the path of negative thinking and replacing it with positive thinking immediately. By doing this regularly you’re creating a new mind.

To further help you in your process of positive manifestations, combine your positive thinking with visualisations. Picture in your mind what you desire and have the belief that it’s already there as your own. Feel this with emotion.

Practise these guides and await your positive manifestations.

Happy manifestations.

The universe is governed by certain irrevocable laws which determine how and why things occur. One of these is the process of materializing wishes from what appears to be thin air. When one or some of these laws are observed and complied with by any person, that person could make certain things happen. An example is for such a person to make his wishes to become reality with absolute certainty.

This is not a magic or illusion; it is rooted in the science that have survived the ages.

Affirmations is one of the most powerful tools for manifestations. It has been recognized as one of the shortest ways of achieving goals. It works in consonance with how our subconscious mind was programmed. The subconscious mind do not differentiate between suggestions and actual realities; and between frivolous or serious issues. It records what your conscious mind passes to it.

It captures the things which your mind passed to it, and vibrates according to the information passed to it. With repeated and consistent affirmation, the subconscious mind receives the same messages and vibrates accordingly with the same frequency in harmony, thereby silently assisting you to manifest
