How To Use Positive Thinking To Achieve Your Desires

    Sometimes, when all our doubts, fears and insecurities wrap us up, we always come up with the idea of “I wish I was somebody else.” More often than not, we think and believe that someone or rather, most people are better than us – when in reality, the fact is, most people are more scared than us.
    You spot a totally eye-catching girl sitting by herself at a party, casually sipping on a glass of coke. You think to yourself, “she looks so perfectly calm and confident.” But if you could read through her transparent mind, you would see a bunch of clouds of thoughts and you might just be amazed that she’s thinking “are people talking about why I am seated here alone?… Why don’t guys find me attractive? …I don’t like my ankles, they look too skinny… I wish I was as intelligent as my best friend.”
    We look at a young business entrepreneur and say “Wooh… what else could he ask for?” He stares at himself at the mirror and murmur to himself, “I hate my big eyes… I wonder why my friends won’t talk to me… I hope mom and dad would still work things out.”
    Isn’t it funny? We look at other people, envy them for looking so outrageously perfect and wish we could trade places with them, while they look at us and think of the same thing. We are insecure of other people who themselves are insecure of us. We suffer from low self-esteem, lack of self-confidence and lose hope in self-improvement because we are enveloped in quiet desperation.
    Sometimes, you notice that you have an irritating habit like biting off your finger nails, having a foul mouth, and you – of all people, is the last to know.
    I have a friend who never gets tired of talking. And in most conversations, she is the only one who seems to be interested in the things she has to say. So all of our other friends tend to avoid the circles whenever she’s around, and she doesn’t notice how badly she became socially handicapped – gradually affecting the people in her environment.
    One key to self-improvement is to LISTEN and TALK to a trusted friend. Find someone who you find comfort in opening up with even the most gentle topics you want to discuss. Ask questions like “do you think I am ill-mannered?”, “Do I always sound so argumentative?”, “Do I talk too loud?”, “Does my breath smell?”, “Do I ever bore you when we’re together?”. In this way, the other person will obviously know that you are interested in the process of self-improvement. Lend her your ears for comments and criticisms and don’t give her answers like “Don’t exaggerate! That’s just the way I am!” Open up your mind and heart as well. And in return, you may want to help your friend with constructive criticism that will also help her improve her self.
    One of Whitney Houston’s songs says “Learning to love yourself is the greatest love of all.” True enough! In order to love others, you must love yourself too. Remember, you cannot give what you do not have.
    Before telling other people some ways on how to improve themselves, let them see that you yourself is a representation and a product of self-improvement. Self-improvement makes us better people, we then inspire other people, and then the rest of the world will follow.
    Stop thinking of yourselves as second-rate beings. Forget the repetitive thought of “If only I was richer… if only I was thinner” and so on. Accepting your true self is the first step to self-improvement. We need to stop comparing ourselves to others only to find out at the end that we’ve got 10 more reasons to envy them.
    We all have our insecurities. Nobody is perfect. We always wish we had better things, better features, better body parts, etc. But life need not to be perfect for people to be happy about themselves.
    Self-improvement and loving yourself is not a matter of shouting to the whole world that you are perfect and you are the best. It’s the virtue of acceptance and contentment. When we begin to improve ourselves, we then begin to feel contented and happy.

    A major cause of failure in life or in any undertaking is negative
    thinking. And a major reason for all achievements in life or in any
    undertaking is positive thinking. Your thought is a catalyst to your
    success or failure.
    For an average person who have not achieved much in life, take a
    solitary relaxation to become aware of the thoughts that come and go in
    your mind in an average day. You will discover that the major percentage of
    those thoughts are negative. If you’re able to go through the mind of most
    successful people you’ll discover that most of the time their thoughts are
    positive and progressive.
    The main negative thoughts are fear, envy, jealousy, self pity, inferiority
    complex, anger etc.
    Fear  is a feeling of insecurity against an impending danger or injury.
    It could be real or imagined, and there is a feeling that the physical or
    psycological well being will be affected nagatively. Fear creates a
    situation of insecurity emotionally. And there follows a tendency to try to
    avoid the danger or insecurity.
    Envy is a negative emotion of a discontent feelings from the success or
    fortune achieved by another person. This comes about mostly when we don’t
    have the same level of success.
    Jelousy is a situation of bad emotion out of losing a partner or position
    to another person. It exhibits a feeling of insecurity, loss of self esteem
    and self control.
    Self-pity is a feeling of regret for oneself out of a perceived misfortune
    or failure to achieve something. This feeling could also come out of an
    infliction done to you and over which you do not have any power of control.
    Inferiority Complex is the act of low self esteem and feeling of been
    unworthy and uncapable of achieving what some others have achieved. It is a
    situation of lack of self confidence and lack of efforts to make move to
    achieve tangible success.
    Anger is a situation of over reaction to an issue or occurrence or someone.
    It is a display of high displeasure or annoyance prompted by our perception
    of a situation without enough caution.
    These negative thoughts are the major causes of our unhappiness, and they
    poison our mind and our relationships with our environment. They in turn
    produce negative reactions and feelings towards life. The effect is that
    they hinder our manifestations and progress. Hence, they bring problems
    and set back for us.
    The solution to these problems is to start a new life and try to avoid all
    these negative thoughts and replace them with positive thinkings. It is
    useless trying to explain to yourself or some people why you took any of
    these negative actions. It’s just like trying to justify a wrong action
    with a wrong explanation.
    Negative emotions produce negative results.
    Positive thinkings produce positive emotions like happiness, joy, love,
    peace, hope and enthusiasm to overcome the daily challenges of life. You
    will have the necessary energy and relationship to move forward in life.

    Belief plays a pivot role in your practice of positive thinking. If your belief is weak it is most likely that your positive thinking is zero, and most of the things you desire may not materialize in time. However if you have a strong belief in your ability to succeed in life, most likely you will achieve quick success easily.

    Your attitude determines what you become in life. What you are today
    is the result of your past attitude and what you will become in the
    near future will be determined by the attitude you adopt today. This
    simply means that you are the architect of your own fortunes. If you are
    a person of positive thinking or attitude to life you will be able to
    make it through life with ease and success, while the opposite will
    happen if one is a person of negative attitude.
    Although we are being influenced everyday and everytime by happenings
    around us, our fortune is being determined only by ourselves and not by
    any other person. The major factors that influence our fortune either
    posively or negagtively lie within each of us. This is why we have
    little or no excuse for our failures in life.
    Each of us should know that with our attitude we could create a life of
    success and achievements for ourselves. The tendency is that because we
    are surrounded by all sorts of negative influences, we tend to think
    negatively. What we need is to turn this influences around in our mind
    and see things positively. In any bad situation there is always a seed
    of positive or success chances. What we need is to identify this seed
    and work on it to turn a negative situation to a positive one.
    The fault with majority of the people is that we fail to identify the
    positive seed in our negative situations. If we are able to do this
    there would be a change of fortune to the positive side, for us.
    Our mind is a flexible thing, and that”s why our thinkings move very
    fast. And that’s also why it has many ways of trapping us with negative
    thinking such as pains, anger and hatred. What we need is inner
    strength to push these negative thoughts away from our mind, so as to
    remain positive. Most people make mistakes by giving themselves a time
    limit when they are pursuing a goal, and when they don’t succeed within
    the time limit they quit. This is wrong. What we require is to focus our
    mind. With a deep mind of focus and positive mindset each day will bring
    us closer to our success.

    Look at your failure as a buddy, or as a something you should come across
    to make a headway in life, and not as a setback or agent of setback. Some
    people do blame their failures at one time or the other for their
    present predicaments. It happens like that because you perceive it that
    way. If you see your failures as an opportunity to rethink, re-plan or
    reorganise yourself in your life pursuits, you will find it to be a good

    your feelings and reactions in response to what happens to you and

    1. Think Healthy
    Most of the time think of an healthy life and visulize yourself and your
    family living an healthy life. Work towards an healthy life by having
    the right amount of sleep, balanced diet and an healthy environment.
    2. Be Careful With Your Words
    Many people just react to happenings without considering how they react.
    For good and positive results, you need to choose the way you react and
    be careful in selecting the words you use. Do away with words and
    phrases like: “I can’t”, “You can never”, “I’m always unlucky”, “He
    cannot change”, “He’s always late” etc. Be careful and cautious, so that
    you use words like: “I can”, “I should”, You should”, “I’ll be lucky”
    etc.
    3. Release Your Negative Thoughts
    Whenever a nagative thoughts comes to your mind quickly release it
    and replace it with positive ones. Don’t allow negative thoughts to
    stay in your mind for a long time. The longer it stays the more damages
    it does.
    4. Be Grateful
    Be grateful to your creator for giving you life and for the things
    you posses. Appreciate the people and things around you. Enjoy the free
    air you breathe and think of the the good side of the weather. Feel
    grateful and contented that you will achieve that thing you are striving
    to get.
    5. Always Think Positive
    Think positive about all things around you. No matter how negative
    people and things around you appear to you, try and see a good aspect
    about them, no matter how small. Hold on to this good aspect and try
    to elaborate on it. Let this be on your mind always and endeavour to
    romove the negative side from your mind. Don’t assume or believe that
    a situation will turn out bad. Always assume that a situation will only
    turn out positive. And with this belief work towards a positive
    outcome.

    The single fact that determines the possibility of realising your
    desires is your mindset, which otherwise is known as your thinkings
    and beliefs. Your thinkings and beliefs could either be positive or
    negative.
    If you have positive thinking your mindset would be positive  and if
    you have nagative thinking your mindset would be negative. It is what
    influences your inner and outer dispositions and therefore plays
    important part in your manifestations.
    Although you might have dreams. But dreams are just wishes and they
    are the beginning of your awareness of your desires. Your desires to
    achieve anything must be supported and boosted by your mindsets.
    Every human being who had achieved greatness began their jouney to
    greatness with a dream and a positive mindset towards the dream. It is
    the burning desire to achieve the dreams in addition to positive
    thinking towards the dreams that propelled them to achieving the goals.
    If you have an intense positive thinking and determination towards
    any desire you are bound to achieve it easily and in record time.
    Although it is common to experience some kind of adversity before achieving
    a goal, and this is why some people do give up on their goals at the verge
    of achieving such goals. The only thing such people required was renewed
    determination and positive  mindset to carry it to a logical conclusion.
    Another important impediment to quick success is other people’s reaction
    and and its effects, as they may affect you negatively. It’s possible that
    people percieve  your goals or dreams as unachievable. They may even
    consider you as an average people who’s not likely to achieve big feats.
    Do not allow this perception to give you negative thinking about yourself.
    Other peoples’ reactions and perceptions had created and contributed
    a great deal of obstacles to lofty desires and their achievements.
    Do not share from this negativity. Don’t allow anybody to determine your
    life for you.
    Therefore go out and achieve all your desires – that’s
    what God created you to do.
    I have come across people who were in their early years blighted and
    prevented from achieving much as a result of the negative thinkings imparted
    on them. Some were told that their intelligence was below average and
    would not achieve much. This mean that their success in life would
    be minimal. This produced a profound effect on their lifes for a long time,
    until they decided to face and overcome the devel of negative thinking.
    And they replaced it with postive thinking.
    You must believe in yourself and have the desires and positive thinkings
    that your goals will be achieved, no matter the bigness of such goals.
